I think that this one is my favorite. There are so many things happening, colors are really well chosen, the place feels real, also your technique is really good, piece as a whole feels so magical! I hope it's hanging proudly on one of your walls.

WVSSAZ responds:

Thank very much :) i actually sold this one, I hope that person has famed it. Thank you again

This is definately one of the best drawings I've seen recently :D There's so much attention to the tricky shading, the entire idea of pro-pain bottles and wd-40 gun are hillarious, in a good way of course!

The character choice is also great, not an overused one that's for sure (I am unfortunately not too familiar with him as the show is not too popular over here).

In terms of issues in ... I can't really find any, perhaps I'm just not on the right level yet. I do think that making his torso and legs darker could make the overall image look more dramatic as it would bring more contrast to it

Really neat piece overall, I hope it was enjoyable to make! :D

ArtbyGalen responds:

Thank you for the kind words! It absolutely was a blast to create! I am not exaggerating when I say that as SOON as I watched Jazza's COTM video for "level-cap"... for some reason, Hank Hill popped into my mind, lol.
I appreciate the input on improving the image, and while I admit I'm unlikely to apply it to this one (I've got a fairly heavy workload right now) I'll be thinking about what you said in future arts. :)
Cheers!

A really nice piece with interesting thought behind it, a bounty hunter finding his treasure in the lost ruins - sounds cool to me! Also blurring the character attracts the attention to the axe, that's a really neat trick, altho you might have used too strong blur, You will learn to balance it real quick ^^

I think that some stronger light / darks contrast would really make this piece pop. Making a new layer that would be really dark grayish-blue and making it just a bit transparet, then adding some strong blue light on the axe and front of the face would make it really great :D

You are on a really good way to improvement, keep it up and You're gonna go far! Good luck!

Jer1k responds:

thanks so much for this! :D I'm really in need of some constructive criticism right now so this means so much in my growth as an artist :)) again thank you so much!

Profile is pretty much dead due to lack of feedback and lack of purpose. You can still find me on Deviantart :
